Following Mark’s graduation from UCD’s BSc Physiotherapy programme in 2020, he worked in a diverse range of settings from neurological rehab to sports teams.
Mark started his professional career in Naas General Hospital getting a firm grounding in out-patient musculoskeletal complaints before moving to St. James’ Hospital in Dublin. In St. James’ in addition to completing acute and rehab based in-patient rotations Mark gained further experience with musculoskeletal complaints rehabbing patients who had presented to the hospital’s emergency dept. whose complaints were deemed to be best addressed by physio.
Mark has also worked in a variety of rehab and acute settings in Australia.
Mark has a keen interest in athletics and martial arts. He competed in middle distance running throughout his teens and early 20s and has since switched his focus to martial arts. Furthermore, he has experience in kickboxing, muay thai, boxing and wrestling.
Additionally Mark has completed coaching courses set by Olympic and world championships level coaches in the short sprints and long jump.
Clinically, Mark’s central interests include the management of tendinopathy/fasciopathy, hip/groin and knee pain. Mark has completed additional personal development courses in the areas of foot/ankle, ACL rehabilitiation, athletic hip and groin pain, and shoulder pain.
